ABOUT DISTRICT COURT

As per the notification of P.1(3)NYAY/2020 dated June 5, 2020 of Government of Rajasthan, the Judgeship of Jaipur Metropolitan got bifurcated into Jaipur Metropolitan-I and Jaipur Metropolitan-II. In the Judgeship of Jaipur Metropolitan-II, One court of Principle District Judge and One court of Chief Mobile Magistrate have been created and 18 special court of DJ Cadre, 12 court of Additional District Judge, 16 court of Additional Chief Mobile Magistrate, 20 court of Mobile Magistrate, 16 court of NI act cases have been transferred from erstwhile Jaipur Metropolitan Judgeship. The first District and Session Judge was Shri Ashutosh Kumar Mishra.

At present, the Jaipur Metropolitan-II Judgeship consists of 98 Courts with one pilot study special metropolitan magistrate. As per 2011 census, it is the first most populous district of Rajasthan (out of 33).
